Pellox
Explosion detector based on a pellistor sensor
Explosion detector based on a pellistor sensor
This device is designed to detect concentrations with a predetermined 5% threshold of the LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) which is 0.25% by volume for CH4. It is based on a catalytic oxidation sensor expressly designed for the measurement of combustible gases.
The use of catalytic sensors has several advantages:
1) Excellent zero stability
2) Linear output
3) Short heating time
4) Longevity
The device is equipped with an SPDT output and when an “alarm” is active, a visual alarm (red led on the upper part of the housing) and an acoustic alarm are also activated, with deactivation of the relay output.
The relay output is also deactivated if there is a fault in the detector.
The Pellox is placed in a small and light box to be fixed on a DIN rail and is also equipped with quick and removable connections for a quick and convenient commissioning.
